About 35 years ago, Michael Hiscock earned a prominent place in music history with The Field Mice<\/a> and their releases on Sarah Records that have stood the test of time. He is back for round two. Together with Emilie Guillaumot and J\u00e9r\u00e9mie Orsel, he founded The Gentle Spring, and their debut album Looking Back At The World<\/em><\/a> is everything you could hope for after the first introduction on the second Under The Bridge<\/em><\/a> compilation. The trio\u2014based in France\u2014delivers ten subdued works of art with beautiful acoustic guitar melodies and male-female vocals that complement each other wonderfully, but it’s the little stories\u2014from unrequited love to hard-won joy\u2014that really make this record shine.
