Listening to the self-titled debut full-length under the moniker of The Nowness, you can&#8217;t help but conclude that he &#8211; joined by John Lewis &#8211; is churning out one earworm chorus after another. The album contains twelve ramshackle pub rock songs that can be counted among the most appealing power pop of recent times. From the dynamic rhythm section to the distinctive vocals, this is as charming and quirky as it is soulful and catchy.
