Bad Weed are on a mission to change that perception, and based on their new (sophomore) LP, which is simply called <em>II<\/em>, they will quickly succeed. The songs of Bad Weed have elements of the garage pop sound of Burger Records but are also reminiscent of &#8217;70s UK pop punk bands like Undertones and Buzzcocks, and I have to assume the three piece are huge fans of Nerves. On <em>II<\/em>, this sound is best described as power pop, that is sometimes quite jangly, but mostly upbeat, energetic and catchy.
