Massachusetts-based Collin Snow enters the Wantlist in the slipstream of Owen Adamcik, as another really young artist writing power pop that sounds like demo recordings of some of your favorite bands. But while Adamcik has a punk streak, Snow leans more toward jangly college rock, with a fair share of emo touches thrown in. Strung Out, for example, even has some twinkly guitar parts.

Recorded on a TASCAM 4-track, Old Souvenir sits charmingly on the left side of the lo-fi bell curve. Snow wrote, played, and recorded everything himself, which makes the whole thing even more impressive.

It’s his second album, but the first one we’ve heard. I doubt it’ll be the last.
