Here is a record that will be officially released next month on Salinas Records, but has popped up online this past week. It is the new LP from Full Sun, a Bloomington, Indiana band that’s been infrequently recording and releasing music for 15 years now. On It’ll Come To Me, they are Erin Tobey (vocals, organ), Jeff Grant (guitar, vocals), Cole Champion (drums), and Alex Mann (bass), four human beings and punk lifers you may know from other cool bands like Evening Standards, Service Lights, Pink Razors, and Abe Froman.

The It’ll Come To Me LP offers 13 songs of indie punk and basement pop. Lively and melodic tunes to bop your head and tap your feet to, delivered with confidence and definitely fitting the easy-to-digest mold, yet far from boring. That’s thanks to a fine mix of faster punky tunes like Living Without You, Eyeball Ball, and Buggin’, and more indie-rock songs like Lose Your Mind and Low Light. Meanwhile, the pop heart of Full Sun probably beats hardest on the title track, a song that fans of catchy indie pop will enjoy as well.

Hard to find fault with this record. Full Sun are an easy-to-like bunch!
