Less than six months after their rootsy Barbed Wire Road LP, The Krayolas return with the compilation Outlaw Garage Hits! under their belt, featuring fourteen fan favorites recently embraced by radio stations. The spirited San Antonio, Texas quartet has never hidden their love for classic garage rock, power pop, and sun-drenched harmonies, and this collection proves that those influences still sound wonderfully alive.

Time and again, the three minutes of crunchy guitars, clever hooks, and classy harmonies lead to pure summer exhilaration. Because that is what this is, first and foremost: a delightful soundtrack for this time of year. Collaborations with Sir Douglas Quintet’s Augie Meyers (Little Fox, Exit Salida, and We’ve Got a Secret) and covers (Bob Dylan’s All I Really Want to Do and Lesley Gore’s Maybe I Know) add extra color to the mix.
