New album: Cinnamon Teals || Cut ‘n Paste

Lo-fi jangle pop on love and loss, routine and escape, reality and imagination

Cinnamon Teals is a DIY indie pop adventure by Sarah K from St. Louis, Missouri, making her debut with Cut ‘n Paste. Each of the eleven songs—lo-fi and wobbly—comes across as a small, self-contained short story on being caught between yesterday and tomorrow, holding on to small hopes in a fading world. It’s tender poetry, seen through a lens of wistful humor and gentle melancholy, about isolation and quiet connection, about the beauty of lives that rarely make the headlines but still hum with affection: “A life of intrigue // So fast and so free // It seems like the script // Was made just for me” (from One More Job).

Expect shimmering melodies, jangly guitars, pure vocals, and attractive “ba ba ba ba ba” harmonies—all delivered with equal sincerity and charm. Alongside the relatable originals comes a striking cover of Lou Reed’s Crazy Feeling.

Cut ‘n Paste is out now digitally and on a home-dubbed cassette (self-released).
