“So we gathered up the broken stars, lit a spark, put them back up in the sky
If you can wish on their falling
Imagine what you can do bringing them back to life.”
When Good Luck wrote those words two decades ago for what became one of their most beloved tracks, they couldn’t have guessed how perfectly they’d echo their return after an indefinite hiatus. Even now, that song gives me goosebumps — and the news of new recordings instantly made Big Dreams, Mister one of my most anticipated releases of 2025.
In a certain corner of the indie universe, Good Luck are legends. Their name opens doors to friendships, basement shows, and late-night singalongs. Plenty of bands have tried to capture their spark, but few have matched their particular mix of heart, grit, and joy.
Big Dreams, Mister isn’t a “we forgot how to do this” record. It’s what happens when three musicians with deep chemistry reunite: guitars that shimmer and charge, a rhythm section full of pulse and surprise, melodies that feel alive. It’s as spirited and heartfelt as their first two albums — only now it carries the glow of something unexpected and deeply earned.
Good to have you back, Good Luck. Big Dreams, Mister is out now on Specialist Subject Records (UK) and Lauren Records (US).
