New album: Pynch || Beautiful Noise

Searching for meaning in the static of modern life

“It’s post-punk, it’s new wave with a little bit of shoegaze // I want it all, I want it all // I sing about my feelings and the things that I believe in // Try to write them down, try to write them down // I’m playing with a drum machine, I’m glued to my laptop screen // I don’t know what I’m doing but maybe that’s where the truth is.”

Beautiful Noise is the sophomore full-length from London-based slacker rock outfit Pynch. As if the album title isn’t telling enough, in standout track Post-Punk / New-Wave they express what they stand for. Of course there is more to the story: the ten songs here wrestle with love’s impermanence, the search for meaning in a digitized, distracted world, and the bittersweet beauty of simply existing—a mix of yearning, irony, and fragile hope. Set to energetic guitars, experimental synths, and edgy rhythms, it’s a record that effortlessly lives up to its theme.

Beautiful Noise, written and produced by Spencer Enock, is out now digitally and on vinyl LP through Chillburn Recordings and State51 Conspiracy. Featuring Spencer Enock (vocals, guitar, synth), Scott Enock (bass), Myles Gammon (synths), and Julianna Hopkins (drums, synth).
