Let It Be is an album title with serious historical baggage, but Autumn Rhythm doesn’t shy away from it. Instead, they lean in — planting a flag and saying: here we are, check these songs out, they’re worth your time.

And they are. Let It Be is the band’s fourth album (their third to make the wantlist), and each one only deepens my fandom. Joey Larosa wrote every song and lyric, recording it all in his parents’ basement — proof that basement alt/slack/indie rock still has sparks to throw.

Let It Be is the kind of record that makes you nostalgic for basements you’ve never even been in. It is out now on 3 Friends Records.
