New Album: Rocknroll Télévision || Émotions tridimensionnelles

Sugar-sweet hooks meet scrappy Ramonescore

“Chanson rock bienveillante”

Ah, oui! C’est Rocknroll Télévision from Montreal. And this is where my limited knowledge of French starts to work against me… but I don’t need many words to point you toward the latest old-school pop-punk record from this trio. For a band that’s been around for almost two decades, this strikes the perfect balance of playful and unpolished on Émotions tridimensionnelles. About a third of the record delivers catchy, bubblegummy mid-paced pop-punk while the remainder serves up fast and scrappy Ramonescore. Depending on your personal preferences, you’ll either gravitate toward the sugary hooks or the speedy breakneck stuff—both camps are well-fed here.

Le Rock N Roll Television? Ils sont plutôt amusants—et après vingt ans, ils savent exactement comment nous faire sourire. (Fingers crossed that this is not some weird translation of what I actually wanted to say.)
