New album: Travelin’ Man || Let The Others Do The Thinking

Sixty-five minutes of raw riffs and vintage vibes

While wandering through the depths of Bandcamp, our paths crossed with Travelin’ Man, a garage rock project by Joao Braun from Stuttgart, Germany. He’s left some nice singles online in the past two years, but Let The Others Do The Thinking is his first full-length album—a creative outburst of 20 songs in 65 minutes, partly instrumental jams but always captivating.

Expect a lo-fi sound with heavy guitar riffs, ravishing vocals, catchy ideas, and influences ranging from psych and surf to blues and stoner—musically rooted in the 1960s and 70s, but with the energetic feel that bands like Jacuzzi Boys, JEFF The Brotherhood, and Bass Drum of Death threw into the world in the first half of the 2010s.

There’s a lot to enjoy on this fuzz-drenched journey through dreams and danger, grit and guts. Travelin’ Man is here to stay.

Let The Others Do The Thinking is out now digitally (self-released).
