We raved about their demo, and we’re raving again—Josie have arrived with their official debut. The Copenhagen (or, as they’d rather have it, Popenhagen) quartet just dropped a two-song 7″, and it’s everything you’d hope for.
Still Time retains the underground pop charm of their demo but feels like a clear leap forward in both songwriting and production. This is twee pop with a DIY punk heart—or maybe pop with a twee punk soul. It’s sugary, hooky, and delightfully reminiscent of your favorite indie pop bands.
On the flip, Shirley (Not) brings out Josie’s punkier instincts. It sounds like they kept nudging up the BPM until it hit that perfect “just faster than pretty fast” sweet spot.
Surely, this band is going places. Best grab your ticket now.
