New EP: Heavy Lag || Paranoid Acts of Desperation

High speed hooks from Brooklyn

Brooklyn dirt poppers Heavy Lag return to the wantlist with Paranoid Acts of Desperation, a five-song EP fronted by the gloriously chaotic image of a garbage truck on fire.

That said, the songs themselves sound surprisingly breezy. This is fast, scrappy, poppy punk rock done right—lean, melodic, and always moving. While Heavy Lag excels at writing sharp, punchy tracks, it’s the longest cut on the tape (Hüsker Døn’t) that ends up being the most impressive. A little more breathing room gives them space to really shine.

This EP rips. Out now on cassette via Bloated Kat Records.
