If Hamilton-based musicians Matt Ellis (Anxious Pleasers, The Vapids, Flesh Rag), Kyle Fisher (The Dirty Nil), and Dave Tyson (Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs) ever meant Golden Shitters to be a fun side project, it’s looking more and more like the real deal. With an European tour on the horizon, the band just dropped their second full-length, Brutal Planet, following their 2023 debut and a pair of EPs in 2022 and 2024.

Golden Shitters play their ramonescore raw and unfiltered, although Brutal Planet finds them leaning further into melody without losing any of their bite. Expect deliberately dumb punk rock that stands out through sheer quality and execution. This is punk distilled to its purest form: sub-90-second blasts, zero gimmicks, zero bullshit. A 15-minute, full-throttle, no-holds-barred, pogo-til-you-puke ramonescore onslaught.
