Another melodic punk rock trio dropped an album this week that’s well worth your time. Hailing from Liverpool, Pardon Us return with Learning to Live With, their third full-length. One of the band’s standout qualities is the contrast between their melodic instrumentation—complete with alt-rock flourishes—and the gritty, well-worn edge of their vocalist’s voice. It’s a sandpaper-and-satin combo that adds depth and character to their sound.
With plenty of hooks and energy, Learning to Live With delivers on all fronts. If you’re into punk rock with a sense of melody and lots of grit, this one’s for you.
