Last Friday, Tacoma three-piece Let Me Downs dropped their sophomore album, North by Southwest, and it’s been on heavy rotation ever since. The 10-song record is a love letter to mid-to-late-’90s melodic punk rock.

Let Me Downs prove that familiarity isn’t a weakness when it’s executed with passion and heart. Case in point: their faithful, high-energy rendition of Gin Blossoms’ Hey Jealousy, which fits seamlessly alongside their original material.

North by Southwest is out now on some pretty awesome vinyl variants via Felony Records.
