Remember Bag of Cans? With their anarchic debut album We Are A Band, George Baker (vocals, trumpet), Tom McGhie (guitar, vocals), George Bryce (guitar, vocals), Sam Watts (bass) and Joe Wilson (drums) made one of the most fun records of last year. Now the rabble from Norwich (UK) return with the Favourite Shirt EP, featuring five new songs that are a bit more mature and less exuberant, but just as catchy. Their pub rock is varied but always energetic and effective, their lyrics about everyday life are as witty as they are genius. The irresistible title track (an ode to a well-dressed man) is the biggest hit here, but closing track Two Pints ​​of Lager and a Packet of Crisps 2 (a delicious critique of runaway hipness) is certainly also worth mentioning, as a contemporary sequel to the Splodgenessabounds punk tune from 1980.
