New album: Goodnight, Texas || Signals

Heavy riffs and heartfelt reflections

Passionate stories and heavy riffs—that’s what Californian roots rock duo Goodnight, Texas deliver on their new full-length album, Signals. Actually, Avi Vinocur and Patrick Dyer Wolf are much more than the big sound with which they impress here, slowing down when a song needs it, with subtle mandolin strumming that gives the electric guitars a break – captivating lyrics and dazzling vocals always present. In Among Tumbleweeds, they address climate change with the same ease they welcome Metallica’s Kirk Hammett for a solo on Runaways. This says a lot, but even more it’s about how they make each song radiate power in their own way.

Signals, written & produced by Avi Vinocur & Patrick Dyer Wolf, is out now digitally, on CD and vinyl LP via 2 Cent Bank Check Records. Also featuring Scott Padden, Chris Sugiura and Alex Nash.
