New EP: Cherry Red || Demo

The announcement is right there on the cover: Introducing the long awaited Cherry Red Debut Demonstration 2024. But honestly, even if you weren’t anticipating the release, you are about to get your socks blasted into orbit by this new Seattle five-piece. Just press play on EP opener Lookin’ For Love and you’re hit with an exhilarating 82 seconds of pure, unadulterated awesomeness. But beware, once you start, there’s no turning back! It will be near impossible to stop listening to Cherry Red’s caffeinated blend of powerpop, punk, and rock-‘n’-roll.

Cherry Red joins the ranks of other notable bands like Sheer Mag, Romero, It Thing, RABBIT, and Leatherman, who are part of the exciting new wave of female-fronted rock-n-roll. What sets these bands apart? Killer vocals, scorching guitar riffs, a rhythm section that hits like a freight train, all delivered with enough energy to power a small city.

With every track on the EP, Cherry Red leaves you craving more, tempting you to crank up the volume until the neighbors start banging on the walls. Their music is so infectious and well-crafted, they are the kind of band you’d start a record label for. Blown away!

  1. This is weird. I have no idea what happened. One hypothesis may be that they’ve been picked up by a label who want to do a (re)launch of the band, but I’m only guessing here.
