About six months after they dropped their demo, Philadelphia five-piece The Slads return with a 5-song EP. The Tough Times Tape showcases a potent and powerful blend of styles that suggest these dudes like their punk with some oi! as well as heavy classic guitar riffs – let’s call it streetpunk’n’roll. The Slads have shared the stage with Civic (Australia) and I can see that line-up totally working.
