Pop quiz question: which Canadian band have been around for almost 30 years, claim to have a discography of about 100 releases spread out over 70 labels, have never been invited to Punk Rock Bowling and STILL sound like a bunch of pop punk adoring youngsters despite (or thanks to) still having all of its founding members?
The correct answer is McRackins of course! Their new LP Wake The Fun Up! comes 13 years after their last studio full length record. After listening to Wake The Fun Up! a couple of times, I am on a sugar high. The eleven songs are so sweet and sticky, I’ve made an appointment with my dentist and I hope he’s able to fix the damage caused by this onslaught of bubblegum pop punk. Perhaps I should make that a return appointment because I intend to play this one again and again.
