Please meet Flathead, a power pop band from Marseille, France, made up of five experienced musicians: Téo Tomy Tannières (songwriting, lead vocals, guitars), David Hofmann (guitars, vocals), Rudy Rock Romeur (guitars, vocals), Théo Kael Serre (bass, vocals), and Mathieu Aimon (drums). Last week they finally released their debut EP The End of my World, featuring five tracks – rooted in the 70’s heyday – that they already recorded in the summer of 2020 (they reportedly distributed some tapes and CDs at the time, but then that impactful pandemic came in between). These are fresh guitar songs with a hot sound and cool (harmony) vocals – a warm breeze from your speakers – that deserve wider recognition.
